2016 CFSA Scholarship Winners

DAWN LAFFERTY HOCHSPRUNG EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Connecticut Federation of School Administration Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung Education Scholarship Program sponsored by M & M Group Benefits, Inc. is an annual scholarship that is open exclusively to children or legal dependents of CFSA members. The scope of scholarship targets 12th graders or first and second year college/university or higher learning institution for students. The main requirements are that the CFSA member child or legal dependent is committed to attending school and can express their goals and value of obtaining a higher education as it relates back to Dawn’s love of education. The award amount is $2,500 for two students; the goal is to help cover educational costs.

2016 DLH Scholarship Award & Presentation was established by CFSA and sponsored by M & M Group Benefits to recognize outstanding full-time students who value education and will be enrolled or are currently enrolled in a higher learning institute, college/university or trade school. We would like to thank all of the applicants who submitted their interest in this scholarship. We would like to remind you that if you are the child or legal dependent of a CFSA member and just exiting high school or entering your fresh or sophomore year in a higher education program; you may resubmit your application during our next round that opens 1/1/2017.

2016 DLH Scholarship Winners will participate in our 40th Constitution Dinner & Meeting; Dr. Anthony Salvatore and M & M Group Benefits, LLC will present the scholarship awards. The meeting will take place at On the Border, Rocky Hill, CT on May 26, 2016 @ 5:00 PM.

    Connecticut Federation of School Administration (CFSA), the state’s largest and only union for school administrators is pleased to inform you that Nicholas Lamothe of Torrington High School and Dylan Marie Burns of Manchester High School have been selected by the CFSA Scholarship Committee to receive the first Annual Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung Education Scholarship. This scholarship was established by CFSA and sponsored by M & M Group Benefits to recognize outstanding full-time students who value education and will be enrolled or are currently enrolled in a higher learning institute, college/university or trade school.
